Only the truly fabulous know the secret: Easter is all about flamboyant costumes and over-the-top headwear. Somewhere between vintage glamour and glorious drag lies the tradition of promenading in our Sunday best, with gothic churches and wide city avenues as backdrops. And when the promenading is done, we celebrate with cocktails, performance and dancing.

New York City is the epicenter of fabulous, not just the pandemic, so this Easter Sunday we bring you a chance to show off with the best. First, a virtual promenade with Stonewall Village NYC's Easter Parade, raising funds for their work on behalf of isolated LGBTQ seniors. Then, our afterparty, mixing vintage-style vaudeville and colorful queer performances by eclectic artists from around the world.

Dress code:
You MUST be fabulous. Overcomplicated headwear is a must. Use whatever you have around the house; the more absurd, the better.

Who:
Since 2002, Gemini and Scorpio have been editors of the second-largest underground New York City events list and makers of themed costume parties with live entertainment (Thrillist “Best Underground Parties” 2015; TimeOut "Best Secret Parties in NYC" 2013; TimeOut “Essential New York” 2010). “Live music, dancing, absinthe and the dark arts” - The New York Times. They also run an independent arts space, Gemini and Scorpio Loft, in Gowanus, Brooklyn (Village Voice "Best Space for Underground Theme Parties" 2016).

Why:
With the pandemic shutting down our events and venue, not only have we lost 100% of our own income, but so too have many of our beloved performers. We hope that this event can raise some funds to help both us and them survive through this rough patch, so we can all return to entertain you when this is all over. We're charging minimum admission for this event to cover a base amount to everyone involved, but we also ask you to tip us and our artists, as you're able. You're welcome to do so before, during and after the event.
